So Close Yet So Far

Actually this was a late post. I was going to blog this article on June 30 2010 but I was busy doing other stuff.

June 30, 2010 at 12:00nn is the Inauguration of Benigno Simeon Aquino III. And it was held in Quirino Grandstand in Manila. Actually, my friends and I planned to go there but it didn’t happen. I was really excited to go there and witness the whole event. Honestly, my aim there was to get some souvenirs
(oh I’m dying to get the pamaypay, stuff toy and the umbrella!).
The sad part was I ended up watching the inauguration on television.

That afternoon, I decided to go in Katipunan with my dad, cousin and brother where Noy Noys’s headquarters is located. When we got there, the place was not open for business anymore.
(FYI: is it where you get stickers and baller ids during the campaign of Noy Noy.)

At 7:00 pm, my brother wanted to see the street party that was happening in Quezon City Memorial Circle. When we got there, it was crowded already. You have to be in a long queue just to get in. So we changed our plan. Why not go to the president’s house in Times Street?! Good idea!

It was 8:30pm when we arrived in Times Street. Reporters, supporters and fans were waiting outside for the president. While waiting, we took some photos outside the house of Noy Noy. (Hello! That’s part of the history already!)

Forty five minutes passed and we got bored already. So we decided to go home. That time we we’re listening to AM for the updates. By 9:30pm, that was the time that Noy Noy is heading to Quezon City Memorial Circle. I was like
“Oh damn! We should have waited for another 15 minutes”.

Oh well that’s life. Anyways, maybe one day I’ll meet and greet him PERSONALY. I just can’t wait for that to happen =]

Here are some photos.
